# ACE Global Income TOP10: An ETF That Owns Ten ETFs

What could a basket of ten income ETFs put into an account each month? For ACE Global Income TOP10, that simple question offers a useful starting point. Translate the issuer’s distribution notice into won, then open the wrapper and examine the underlying funds.

## What could ₩10 million pay each month?

On the assumptions below, **₩10,000,000 represents ₩62,000 per month before tax**. This gives the percentage a practical scale: a contribution toward a bill, or a larger part of a spending budget.

The [issuer’s 2026-09-28 notice](https://www.aceetf.co.kr/cs/notice/7002) announced an **expected September monthly distribution rate of 0.62%** and an expected payment of ₩65 per share. This illustration uses the announced percentage without inventing a purchase price. The annualized 7.44% is simply 0.62% times twelve, not a current-market yield or a confirmed payment.

| Investment budget | Gross monthly equivalent | Gross annual equivalent |
|---|---:|---:|
| ₩10,000,000 | ₩62,000 | ₩744,000 |
| ₩30,000,000 | ₩186,000 | ₩2,232,000 |
| ₩50,000,000 | ₩310,000 | ₩3,720,000 |
| ₩100,000,000 | ₩620,000 | ₩7,440,000 |

These are **before-tax illustrations**. They assume the announced expected monthly rate repeats and the full budget is invested. Actual cash must be recalculated from the shares purchased and the subsequently confirmed payment per share. Investor taxes and trading costs are excluded, and distributions are not reinvested. Fund expenses already reflected in the reported cash measure are not deducted a second time.

### Working backward from ₩500,000 or ₩1 million a month

| Gross monthly cash target | Capital at the same assumptions |
|---|---:|
| ₩500,000 | about ₩80,650,000 |
| ₩1,000,000 | about ₩161,300,000 |

The formula is monthly target × 12 ÷ annual distribution rate. Required capital is rounded up to the next ₩10,000. A 20% payment cut turns a ₩500,000 monthly target into ₩400,000 at the same holding size. Use these numbers to size a cash-flow plan, not as a promise of future payments.

## Five equity funds and five bond funds

ACE Global Income TOP10, Korean ticker 460960, is managed by Korea Investment Management. Its benchmark is the Solactive Global Superior Income TOP 10 Price Return Index. The issuer describes ten US-listed ETFs selected with attention to distribution yield and payment consistency: five equity ETFs and five bond ETFs.

Five plus five describes the number of funds. It should not be read as a promise that the portfolio's market value is always exactly half equities and half bonds. Index rules, price changes and rebalancing affect the actual weights. Read the weight column, not just the list of names.

| Item | Reviewed information |
|---|---|
| Korean ticker | 460960 |
| Structure | A fund investing in other ETFs |
| Basic index composition | Five equity ETFs and five bond ETFs |
| Disclosed annual fund fee | 0.24%; underlying ETF expenses must also be considered |
| Distribution schedule | Monthly, subject to change and reductions |
| NAV observation | KRW 10,069.70 on October 21, 2026, issuer screen |

The fee was checked against exchange product information alongside the issuer material. NAV and exchange price are different concepts, even when both appear on the same screen. Neither a historical NAV nor a historical market price is a quotation for your next order.

## Opening the boxes inside the box

An equity ETF may collect corporate dividends, but it may also write options. In the latter case, the outer fund indirectly inherits the trade-off between cash premiums and some potential upside. A bond ETF can own long-duration government debt, corporate credit or lower-rated obligations. These exposures do not behave alike.

| Visible diversification | The next question |
|---|---|
| Ten ETF tickers | How much do their underlying exposures overlap? |
| Bond funds included | What are their duration and credit quality? |
| US exchange listings | Which countries and currencies drive the assets? |
| Monthly payments | What portion comes from dividends, interest or other sources? |

Two equity funds can hold many of the same large companies. Long-duration bonds can fall when yields rise. Riskier credit can decline alongside equities during economic stress. The word “bond” does not guarantee a reliable offset to every stock-market loss.

## Expenses exist at more than one level

For a fund of funds, the outer fund's disclosed fee is only the starting point. Underlying ETF expenses are reflected in those funds' values and therefore affect the outer fund's results. Remembering 0.24% as an all-inclusive cost would miss that structure.

Consider an invented basket with half its assets in a fund costing 0.4% and half in one costing 0.6%. The simple weighted underlying expense is 0.5%, before the outer layer's own expenses. This is an explanation of the mechanism, not a calculation of ACE's actual total cost. That requires current weights and the applicable expense disclosures.

The same care applies to performance. If a published return already reflects fund expenses, subtracting all those expenses again would double count them. Understand whether you are constructing a forecast from assumptions or reading an actual net performance series.

## Trading in won does not settle the currency question

A Korean listing makes buying and receiving cash in won convenient. Foreign assets still reach the fund's won value through currency translation. Hedging policy and actual hedging exposure should be checked in the current prospectus; the currency used to place an order is not proof of a hedge.

In a hypothetical unchanged foreign portfolio, a 10% fall in the dollar's won value would hurt the unhedged dollar portion in won terms. The opposite move could help. Changes in local-currency distributions therefore need not come entirely from changes in the underlying investment strategy.

The convenience of this ETF is the ability to hold several income exposures through one position. Understanding that convenience requires looking one level deeper at assets and costs. Outsourcing selection can reduce the work of placing trades; it does not remove the need to know what the investment contains.
